Match: Dread (1) vs. Porcland Jailblazers (1)

Sun, 09/05/2010 - 14:14
Weather: Nice Inducements: Jaliblazers induce Ugroth Bolgrot, 2 bribes, and 1 Magic Item (Gloves of Holding). Bitter grind of a game, with both teams tied at 1 at the end of the first half. One injury on either side at that point - Ugroth and Thandren. In the 2nd half, the Jailblazers went on an armor breaking spree, KOing 5 of Dread's players including Xath and Vashir early on. The rest of the game was a massive scrum on the Jailblazers half of the pitch. Dread didn't have enough players left to capitalize each time they managed to spring the ball loose, and the Jailblazers couldn't get the ball away from remaining the blodging sidestepping Elves.

Match: Carrion Crawlers (1) vs. Rottin' Ass Rasslers (2)

Sat, 08/21/2010 - 13:10
Carrion Crawlers: Took Mayhem card (J. Waterboy) #2 and #16 BH during game. CC MNG Andre the Giant turn 1 of game but the RAR proved still too powerful with lots of rolls that were from from being kicked across the room. :)

RAR resurrected Meek to #13 slot. Off to a great start, the carrion crawlers SI'd Andre the giant on their first blitz, and it as downhill from there... Hard to compete against the dice, with the RAR clearing the field on turn 6 of the first half, there wasn't much chance of a comeback for the crawlers.
The crawlers performed dismally, with many turns ending on the first die roll. (although it probably wouldn't have mattered as it was most likely with their only standing player....)

Match: Dune-fire Messiahs (2) vs. Soul Asylum (0)

Wed, 08/18/2010 - 09:02
Soul Asylum induces 2 Babes. DfM fans have minimum turn-out. SA has +2 Fame. DfM score under pressure in first half but SA comes up short in their 3 turn effort before the half. SA Osiris BHs Razor. SA The Doctor SIs Steel Khaleel. Strongman Uthal sits out most of the game in the KO box. DfM pillow blocks all game. SA gets a touchback to start the 2nd half due to changing winds. 2nd half sees DfM burn their Re-rolls early. Somehow SA efforts are frustrated. Last turn heroics by DfM Berserker Wild Wali result in a TD. DfM hire a Cheerleader to bring in more fans.

Team news by Hellish Heliotropes

Sun, 08/15/2010 - 13:39
Season 2 and opening day was not good to the Hellish Heliotropes, a collection of failed dodges, pickups and blocks vs Wesovian Skinjobs ended the game 2-1 in the WS favour. Game 2 vs the Praag Flesheaters was total destruction, five players in the Casualty box by turn 5 of the 1st half, HH ended the game with just 2 players on the field, but put up a good fight. As luck would have it the Game 3 opponent Jundheim Ice Lords were available to play, going into this game the HH had a TV104 with 3 Journeyman, the JiL had a TV215, many Star Players, Wizards and anything else that could be acquired to gain the advantage was duly purchased, read the exciting Game Report to see what happened.

Team news by Iron Brew Legionaries

Sun, 08/15/2010 - 08:46
The Iron Brew Legionaries retired to the local watering hole after their matches today. They held a wake for Flagon and Horn. The fans of the Legionaries came out to pay their respects as well. Much drinking and camaraderie was had by the team as well as the penning of the teams first official Book of Grudges. Names on the pages were as follows: Black Orc Bidu of the team Prognosis Negative -When next we meet, your face we will beat...dead! LineOrc Revo of the team Prognosis Negative -With our knees we will break your back, and with whats left of you we will feed to a yak....and you'll be dead! The Queen B the Troll of the team Prognosis Negative - We will feast on Troll sandwiches after we grind your bones to make the bread.... oh did we mention you'll be dead when it happens! Goblins of the team Grudge Match - We look forward to playing against you again, you made our day much better because some of you died... oh um pain! Note: Not enough you died so were gonna kill more of you next time thats why your in here. Drunk dwarves writing poetry is much like having a goblin accountant... just don't do it ever!

Match: Hellish Heliotropes (2) vs. Jundheim Ice Lords (1)

Sat, 08/14/2010 - 20:26
Inducements: HH = Hubris, Ithaca, Wizard, Babes x1, "I Am The Greatest"
El Tauro and Tzikako Banky argue about who is the greatest.
"I'm the franchise, you little punk!"
"Oh yeah? Well I'm the only bona fide Super Star on the roster, so the BloodCam should be following *me*!"

--Coach MacPhee sat Tzikako Banky on his prima donna ass for the rest of the game. That'll learn 'em. Ride the pine, killer. Come back hungry next game."--

Good Weather all game.

HH score early and JIL can't stop the Blodger even with Tackle. Chaos forgets it's supposed to hit things and HH score 2 quick 2 turn TDs by turn 5 using their Wizard to clear a path. 2-0 HH.

JIL grind it down and score in turn 8, and keep the game within reach at 2-1.

JIL grind it downfield all 2nd half and HH make valiant defense. Whenever the ball gets knocked loose it bounces to an open JIL player, is an insane catch in 3TZ with a 6, or is an interception.

HH have the last laugh with a 1D hit on ball carrier Brandme (Blodge, Standfirm) in T15. If the 1D hit holds, Standfirm has him in scoring position for T16 with any number of 3D blitz to push him off the ball carrier a 2+ GFI to tie. 1D hit POW's him down and making Chaos Turn 16 more complicated 3+ pickup, handoff, 3+ catch and GFI.
Turn 16 needing 3-3-1 with a RR in hand. Chaos have proven that they can't pick up or hand off the ball, and they fail to tie the game.

We're doping all the Chaos players with extra warpstone to work on extra arms.

Match: Howling Waste Hellcannons (2) vs. Plainsmen (4)

Sat, 08/14/2010 - 16:48
HWH inducements: Morg n' Thorg (43), 1 Apo (10) and Babe (5). (HWH TV was 123 after taking 3 journeymen Hobgoblins prior to the game). HWH score quickly with a high risk play that included a completed pass to a Bull and a 5+ handoff to the other Bull in a TZ. Plainsmen reply with a quick TD, and then get a defensive TD off of a Blitz on ensuing kick off. HWH attempt to tie at end of first half ends with a Bull being thrown into the Crowd for a little surf action. Plainsmen score on Turn 12. Another high risk set of pick ups, hand offs and passes, and a Plainsmen overcommitment to their left flank, lead to another quick HWH TD. Plainsmen Turn 16 witnessed a near tragedy when Frenzy Blitzer Kirk blitzed HWH Bull Uwe, who, Kirk discovered to his dismay, has SS(!)... This lead to a 2 dice HWH choice on second block of the Blitz. First 2 Dice HWH choice - skull and push. On the reroll, though, a POW and a Both Down - Uwe doesn't have Block, so down went Uwe. A bloodless affair. Only CAS was the result of a Plainsmen surf of HWH Blocker Deckud. The APO had in him in Reserve in no time. HWH MVP was Journeyman 6. Plainsmen Star Catcher Blaze rolls doubles on his skill roll. Game report needs to be updated once Journeyman added to game report to give him the MVP.

Match: Hellish Heliotropes (1) vs. Praag Flesheaters (2)

Sat, 08/14/2010 - 15:57
Heliotropes induce Hubris Rakarth, Babe and a Dirty Tricks card. Game looked to be pouring rain, but the weather changed with the opening kick off and was nice the rest of the game. The casualties came fast and furious, and the Flesheaters did not have much opposition for the second half of the game. Moklar again gets ejected from the game for a nasty foul. Gorthos (#12) rolled a 6 and takes Wrestle for a skill up.

Sat, 08/14/2010 - 14:58

Match: Decepticons, Retreat! (1) vs. Regyna RuffRyders (0)

Sat, 08/14/2010 - 13:52
Star of the game was new goblin Ratbat, who inflicted a casualty as well as stopping the last drive of the RuffRyders on a hobgoblin vs. goblin blitz, putting the hobgoblin down and the ball into the stands.

Weather started out nice but changed to raining and finally into a blizzard. Shockingly enough, the game was not in Regyna (???)

The weather mildy impacted on the RuffRyder game plan, but the coach feels what really worked against them was a crowd that felt like throwing the ball towards their endzone, both times, late in their two drives. That and the Troll Devastator seemed to be highly intellectual and motivated. Proven by sly photos taken of him at the 2010 Shanghai Open solving a Rubiks Cube in a respectable 13.35 seconds.

Bloodweiser babe gave the roughrider fans something to cheer about!

Match: Brawling Anura (2) vs. Flower Power (1)

Sat, 08/14/2010 - 13:01
